I’m the owner of Wisconsin Barbell, where I’ve been coaching athletes and everyday lifters since 2007—but I’ve never been just a “gym guy.” I’ve spent the last 25+ years not only chasing strength but constantly pushing myself to level up in every part of life. That means trying new things, even when they’re uncomfortable—like stepping onto a martial arts mat in my 40s, working toward my pilot’s license, or writing openly about the hardest parts of marriage, masculinity, and growing up.
What drives me is the need to keep evolving—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally. My books are for anyone who’s felt stuck, lost, or like they had more in the tank but didn’t know where to start. I write about what’s real: the failures, the false starts, the heartbreaks, and the small wins that eventually stack up to something meaningful.
Strength, to me, is more than barbells. It’s about owning your story, facing your insecurities, and refusing to settle. If you’re on your own path of becoming—no matter what chapter you’re in—I hope my writing meets you there.
