Wen-Chi Yang: Passionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist & Advocate for Neurodiverse Children

Born in Taichung, Taiwan, Wen-Chi Yang is a dedicated pediatric occupational therapist with nearly 20 years of experience helping children thrive. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy in Taiwan before advancing her expertise with a Master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Throughout her career, she has worked in diverse settings—including outpatient clinics, schools, home care, and non-profit organizations—serving children from infancy to adolescence with neurodiverse needs. She has worked in Taiwan and California and currently practices in the Seattle area in Washington State.

As a devoted mother of two and the wife of a speech-language pathologist, Wen-Chi’s passion extends beyond her professional work. Together with her husband, she co-founded "Into The World," a social media platform dedicated to equipping parents with practical strategies and expert insights through social media, empowering them to better support their children's development.

As someone who has sensory processing challenges herself, Wen-Chi combines her personal experiences with her professional expertise to provide deeper insight into sensory processing differences. She wrote books and social media posts to help parents, educators, and professionals better understand sensory needs and learn effective strategies to support children in their daily lives. Wen-Chi’s deepest hope is that every child—regardless of the challenges that come with neurodiversity—can step confidently into the world as their authentic self, supported and understood by their family, community, and society.
