Chris Landino was born in 1979 in Carson City, Nevada, and raised with a deep love for the outdoors and a boundless sense of curiosity. Drawn early to history and storytelling, he excelled in English and History throughout school. At 16, Chris enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, determined to serve his country as a Marine. Although an undiagnosed form of epilepsy led to a medical discharge, that setback only strengthened his resolve to pursue excellence in every aspect of life.
In 1999, he relocated to North Texas and immersed himself in the world of martial arts. Today, Chris holds a 4th Dan black belt and has trained in Okinawan kobudo, karate, taekwondo, judo, and jiu-jitsu. His dedication and skill have earned him a place in the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame and recognition in The Who's Who of the Martial Arts. He was also honored by Grandmaster Ted Gambordella as one of the World's Greatest Martial Artists.
Professionally, Chris serves as a Fixed Operations Director for the Ed Morse Automotive Group. At home, he’s a devoted husband and father of three. In his free time, he can be found camping, overlanding, or hunting and fishing the high-country—usually in shorts, flip-flops, and a flannel shirt, with a fly rod in hand. He is also an avid photographer with an eye for the perfect shot. His writing, like his life, is shaped by resilience, adventure, and a deep appreciation for the stories that connect us all.
