Dr Matt Silver is an experienced educator, researcher, author, and executive coach. He founded The Glass House Leadership Lab and is committed to uniting education through the development of every individual within it. Since founding the Glass House Leadership Lab, Matt has intentionally applied coaching, training, and team facilitation—both locally and internationally—to research the barriers preventing education stakeholders from taking the bold steps forward in system evolution we all know are needed to address Wicked Problems and prepare learners for life with AI.
Identifying recurring themes, he has acted by partnering with digital assessment, lesson observation, and governance companies and begun to fuse them together around his unity model. Together, they are creating ethical, sustainable, digital tools designed to address the root causes of the complex, systemic challenges facing education—both within and beyond the school gates.
The Glass House’s partnership strategy is grounded in Matt’s belief that human development is the missing piece in the future of the education puzzle. By cultivating self-awareness across all stakeholders, he is expanding the capabilities of leaders and learners alike - helping them recognise both shared experiences and diverse perspectives. This deeper understanding builds stronger connections and a sense of agency, enabling authentic buy-in to a shared, coherent vision for education’s next wave of progress and innovation.
His recent book, Reinventing Education: Beyond the Knowledge Economy, explores the hidden elements of change and offers a framework to help navigate education’s uncertain future.
