Katariina Rosenblatt

Dr. Katariina Rosenblatt is a lived expert on human trafficking. She is the founder and Executive Director of the survivor-led nonprofit, There Is HOPE For Me, Inc., providing evidence-based peer support to survivors of human trafficking and their families. Dr. Kat has twenty years of experience in the anti-trafficking field, working with survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. She mentored countless survivors of human trafficking. Developing numerous survivor leaders, including her board, which is 100% survivor-led, consisting of survivors whom she has helped. Dr. Kat has also developed highly effective tools for use in identifying human trafficking within schools. As a therapist, she has provided mental health therapy to individual survivors as well as groups, both inpatient and private settings.

Dr. Kat is a federal consultant and contributed to the SOAR Pilot program for the Department of Health and Human Services and the SOAR Microlearning on labor trafficking for NHTTAC. She was the first survivor to hold the Survivor Inclusion Initiative Officer position with the United Nations Centre for Policy Research, Finance Against Slavery & Trafficking, where she developed KYC identification cards for banks and financial institutions. Dr. Kat is a policy expert who works with members of Congress and speaks on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. Dr. Kat is the only known U.S. survivor of human trafficking to be included in the National Museum for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, Georgia.

She holds a B.A. in Management and an LL.M. in Intercultural Human Rights. She also attended law school and made it to the Moot Court Team; she holds certificates in Humanitarian Law, International Criminal Law, and Human Rights Law from the René Cassin Foundation in Strasbourg, France. She also has a Ph.D. in Conflict Resolution and is completing her second master’s in clinical mental health counseling.

Dr. Kat has written three books on human trafficking: Her memoir, entitled Stolen: The True Story of a Sex Trafficking Survivor, her second book, Trafficking in America, and now her third book, Human Trafficking Across Borders.

Dr. Kat is a much sought-after public speaker and inspirational leader.
