After studying English and Drama at Swansea University, Susannah trained as a teacher at Southampton University then studied for an M.A in Writing for Children at King Alfred’s College, Winchester. She taught English and Study Skills at a number of secondary schools including the famous Cheltenham Ladies College.
In 1991 Susannah won success as a fiction writer, being shortlisted for the Ian St James Awards. Her poetry was longlisted for the international Erbacee Prize in 2020, and she won the national Swanwick Writing School poetry competition in 2015.
Susannah specialises in writing workbooks and educational resources for Creative Writing, English and Religious Education.
