KM Bailey grew up in the pretty village of Haddenham, Buckinghamshire, attending secondary school in the town of Aylesbury. As a child she was exposed to a wide range of classic and contemporary literature inspired by her grandfather Tom who shared his passion for music, books and poetry with all his grandchildren. From an early age she enjoyed acting and after completing a degree in English and Drama at London University went on to drama school, going on to enjoy the life of a jobbing actor around the UK. It was a life filled with travel, camaraderie and the thrill of the spotlight. Despite the unpredictable nature of the profession she embraced every moment of it.
After meeting her husband and starting a family, Kirstie, after several years working for a theatre publisher, moved to Scotland. She now lives in rural Perthshire and having retrained, works part-time as a teacher in a local primary school whilst combining this with her love of writing stories.
