Ivan Catanzaro

Ivan Catanzaro works mainly in philosophy, with a particular interest in epistemology, Nietzsche, nihilism. He received an MA from the Universität zu Köln and is now developing his own philosophical work around questions concerning rational belief, truth, and the ways in which thought is affected by practical and evaluative life.

Alongside philosophy, he writes poetry, mostly in Italian. His poems often begin from experiences of loss, desire, resistance, and bodily absence, seeking a spare form rather than a decorative one. Poetry remains for him a parallel practice: a way of giving shape to experiences that philosophical argument cannot fully contain.
