Matthew Tattar is a research professor in the War Gaming Department, Center for Naval Warfare Studies, US Naval War College. His research interests include military innovation, strategic deterrence, national security policy, military history, and bureaucratic politics. He earned a B.A. in International Relations from Boston University in 1996. He earned a Master of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire in 2002, and a Ph.D. in Politics from Brandeis University in 2011. Prior to joining the War College, Dr. Tattar was a research fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Kennedy School of Government.
