Pedro Pablo Porto Taboada (Estrada, Spain – 1974) has worked in different parts of the world and in many areas of life: from journalism to tourism, from hotels and beach clubs to launching his own fashion brand. Always in motion, he has adapted to changing environments, diverse cultures, and constant challenges.

For him, philosophy is not an intellectual luxury, but a way of life. He found in Stoicism a powerful tool to face reality with calm, clarity, and purpose — and has been practicing it every day since.

STOYC OR NOT STOYC was born as a direct and useful manual, written for those who no longer seek excuses, but direction.

Pedro doesn’t consider himself a philosopher, but a practitioner — someone who learned that true home lies within, and that writing this book was his way of leaving behind a compass for his children and for anyone willing to look inward.
