Pieter R van Wyk

A semi-retired steel plant manager and metallurgical engineer with a master's degree in engineering management, conferred in 1996 by the University of Pretoria (South Africa). His enquiry started while working towards his master's, commencing by questioning some long-accepted knowledge and dogma - trying to understand things. This enquiry continued through a highly successful career. Since his official retirement in 2018 he worked on various projects related to his profession but also started to order his thoughts into some cohesive reasoning. This ordering of thoughts morphed into a manuscript that was published at the end of March 2025 - a book explaining his Understanding of Things. Inviting an astute reader to either agree with this understanding or point out an error in the reasoning, perhaps even a fatal flaw
