Shaida Whitley

Shaida Escoffery Whitley is the author of several books including Idle, Wild, Love, The Children of Eden, and Bloom. Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Miami, FL, she is the alumna of the University of Miami, where she received the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Innovation and Creativity Fellowship for her work on Idle, Wild, Love. She is also a graduate of New York University’s Graduate School. Since graduating, she has worked as a dedicated schoolteacher and serves her local church in discipleship and worship. She currently resides in Miami, FL with her husband, Micah and their daughter Brielle.
