As I reflect on the past couple of years of sobriety, I am struck by the many transformations I’ve undergone—physically, emotionally, and circumstantially. Each experience has built upon the last in ways I never could have comprehended when I was caught in the grip of addiction.
I’ve come to understand that life is a tapestry of perfect and imperfect moments, each offering lessons and depth to our personal stories. Whether we choose to embrace or deny these experiences, their significance remains. Sobriety, however, has given me the ability to truly engage with life, to notice and appreciate the smallest details, and to uncover new questions and insights about myself.
“Who am I? Who do I want to become?” For the past three years, I’ve wrestled with these questions. Today, I can answer them with confidence: I am a father, a leader, and someone dedicated to helping others.
This clarity is a gift of sobriety—one that I embrace with gratitude and purpose.
