A.J. Thurber

Born and raised on Maui and an only child, I took comfort in the company of nature, a predominant theme you will find in my books.

In my first book, "One Day You Will Want to Go Back," I wanted to greet you all by sharing recollections of my childhood I hold dear. I received a duck at the age of 6 and remember feeling, "what great timing," as it had rained a great deal the day before, creating a "pond" in our backyard.

I am not a mom but find that writing for a younger audience fulfills my nurturing soul. For now, I am dedicated to creating only children's books, and hope to also tug at the hearts of parents and resurface their childhood imagination.

I currently live in Montgomery, AL with my loving husband, Matt, and our four dogs.
