Tim Stoodley

Tim Stoodley is a paramedic, poet, and professional overthinker based in the UK. When he’s not treating patients or drinking unhealthy amounts of tea, he’s writing poems about anxiety, grief, fatherhood, cancelled plans, and whatever else his brain decides to spiral over that week.

His debut collection, Emotionally Unavailable, But Make It Poetic, brings together 55 poems that are raw, sarcastic, soft in places, and occasionally rhyme (by accident). Tim writes for the people quietly unravelling in group chats, surviving on beige food, and cancelling plans with the kind of joy only introverts know.

He lives somewhere between imposter syndrome and a builder’s brew, and occasionally posts readings of his poems on TikTok as @poems.by.tim — it's more wholesome than it sounds.
