Natalia Lee is Natasha Parvey's pen name. The meaning of her given name, Natasha, is a Russian
word that means born on Christmas Day; it's the short form of Natalia. Natasha owns her own
marketing company, helping businesses with social media marketing and working in economic
development as an independent contractor. She loves to connect good companies with other good
businesses and keeping dollars in her community.
Growing up, Natasha Parvey would often read four books at a time. When she was a sophomore in
high school, she decided she wanted to write a children's book. As kids, her siblings used their
imaginations and creativity by putting on plays and ice capades as they grew up on ice skates. They
played in nature as much as they could in rural North Dakota.
Natasha has twelve cherished nieces and nephews. As a teenager, she loved to babysit and taught
swimming lessons every summer in college. She loves children and their creativity. During her
time living in Pensacola, Florida, she encountered a man riding a bike with a captivating blue
macaw, igniting her creative imagination and planting the seed for a great future book.
As she continues her journey as an author, Natalia's commitment to empowering children through
literature is a commendable endeavor that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on young minds. Her
future goals are to help young authors and illustrators work together to self-publish. She believes we
should empower young entrepreneurs, especially those in the arts, and teach them how to make
money doing what they love.
