Douglas Cameron Borthwick

Douglas C. Borthwick spent nearly thirty years in global currency markets at Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, and Standard Chartered, then helped manage the first SEC-registered IPO on a blockchain, which closed in 2021 after 950 days of regulatory review, raising capital from more than 7,200 investors across 74 countries.

Today he is Founder and CEO of The Insumer Model, Founder and CEO of SkyeMeta, and Co-Founder and CEO of TokenCapStack. The Insumer Model is two things. It is the framework for turning customers into stakeholders through ownership they can prove. It is also the company behind InsumerAPI, the wallet auth infrastructure underneath it, which reads what a wallet holds, checks it against a condition, and returns a signed yes or no, so a business can recognize a customer without issuing a password, an account, or any other secret to be stolen.

His Insumer Revolution series runs from tokenized ownership to the agent economy: The Insumer Model, Your Equity in Your Pocket, and Secrets and Agents, on why AI agents cannot hold secrets and what replaces the password.
