J. Alison Cole started college to study accounting, but quickly realized that she didn’t want to do that for the rest of her life. (No offense to accountants.) She then shifted gears, turning to her artistic side and became a graphic artist. Life followed in the form of love, marriage, raising two boys, running her own business, lots of cold mornings on the soccer field, (coaching), crafting the illusion of a mostly clean house, and the never ending search for that one missing sock. She found peace at the end of each day by reading, which naturally unleashed her imagination to write.
When she’s not writing, which is rare, her creativity spills into painting, stained glass, or talking her wonderful and supportive husband into some insane project. (Most recently a bottle wall on the patio. It turned out gorgeous.) Although, she considers her two sons to be some of her best work.
She and her husband made their home in Maryland with a lazy bulldog named Hazel, and an Australian cattle dog named Roxie. The sock is still missing.
