Brian Moriarty is an attorney based in Cleveland, Ohio, with a lifelong connection to the South Carolina Lowcountry. Since the 1970s, he has returned to the region every year—first with his parents, and now with his wife and their children. Inspired by his deep love for music, animals, and nature, Brian wrote his debut children’s book, Magnolia Rising, as a heartfelt family collaboration. Set in the coastal marshlands he cherishes, the story follows Maggie and Aster on a journey that highlights timeless values like self-belief and the power of friendship.
