Chad Dawson spent his twenties inside the Army's counter-battery radar program - the gear that watches incoming artillery and calculates backward to where it came from. He graduated first in his class from both electronics schools that qualify you for it, finishing the second with an average he was told had never been beaten. Then he spent thirty years learning that fixing things and being listened to are unrelated skills.
