James Douglas

James Douglas is the author of the Detective Jason Wolfe Mystery series, featuring a troubled former Chicago detective who finds a new home—and plenty of trouble—in Nashville.

A longtime fan of detective stories and crime fiction, James enjoys creating mysteries filled with compelling characters, dangerous secrets, unexpected turns, and cases that keep readers guessing until the end. His Jason Wolfe novels blend traditional detective fiction with a modern Southern setting, following a flawed investigator who isn’t afraid to cross a few lines in his pursuit of the truth.

In addition to fiction, James also writes nonfiction, exploring subjects that interest, inform, and connect with readers beyond the world of mystery and suspense.

James lives in the Nashville area with his wife, who is also a writer. When he isn’t writing, researching a new nonfiction project, or dreaming up Jason Wolfe’s next case, he enjoys a quieter life away from the fictional crimes he creates on the page.
