Ben Peterson is a writer, illustrator, creative tinkerer, and full-time overthinker from Kansas City, Kansas. He’s the author of Border Breakers and the upcoming 616 Reasons to Be a Collector, which together prove he’ll write about anything if it involves big feelings, wild ideas, or a good excuse to reference pop culture.
He lives with his wonderfully patient wife Alaina, his two smart, funny, chaos-powered daughters, and a rotating cast of pets—currently including a very chill old dog and a bulldog with the energy of a linebacker and the tail of a whip.
Ben’s stories tend to blend heart, humor, and just enough sci-fi or fantasy to make you wonder if your toaster might be plotting something. When he’s not writing, he’s drawing comics, playing Dungeons & Dragons, or pretending not to be emotionally destroyed by Pixar movies.
He doesn’t claim to have all the answers—but he’s definitely got 616 reasons to keep asking the right questions.
