One of Scotland’s most experienced Japanese language educators, Hitomi has worked as a senior lecturer at Kanda University of International Studies in Japan and authored 17 textbooks. She holds a Master’s in Applied Linguistics, a Japanese Language Teaching Competency Certificate, and a prestigious Teaching Award.

Now based in Edinburgh, she runs Japanese Clubs, offering learners a friendly space to build confidence and fluency at their own pace—whether for travel, work, exams or simply the love of the language!
