Cynthia Vaughn is a respected voice teacher, author, and presenter. She is best known as co-author with Meribeth Dayme of The Singing Book, the leading group-voice textbook/song anthology for beginning and intermediate singers. The new fourth edition of The Singing Book (edited by Matthew Hoch) was published by Rowman & Littlefield/Bloomsbury and National Association of Teachers of Singing in 2024. Since 2018 Cynthia Vaughn has been associate editor for Independent Voices for National Association of Teachers of Singing biannual member publication, Inter Nos. A Colorado native, Cynthia currently lives in Virginia with her husband and two tuxedo cats, Figaro and Magnolia.
