I was born and raised a Missouri country girl. I spent my childhood barefoot and outside, surrounded by all manner of farm creatures. In addition to my love for Jesus, I also grew to love music, art, travel, and reading. My real niche was when I discovered teaching.

I spent four years teaching first grade in the public-school arena, followed by homeschooling my own children in their early childhood years, and serving in supportive ministry. By the time my husband and I were welcoming our fourth child into the world, we were also starting a business where my family shared our farm with the surrounding communities.

I loved being able to blend my farming background with my talent for teaching. On top of my many roles for the farm, my favorite was leading educational experiences for our guests at the farm. Everyone from toddler to grandparent was able to learn something there!

Somehow, all of this was happening while I was battling Breast Cancer. I am not sure how we made it, other than by the good graces of God, but we did. I am now a Breast Cancer Survivor and advocate for raising awareness in my community.

Life is busy, full, crazy, blessed, and beautiful for my family these days. In any free time I have, I find myself writing books relating to all of my personal experiences - some for the young, some for their parents, and some for those who know what it's like to have "hard days".

One of my favorite quotes has been, "Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. TODAY is a gift! That's why they call it the 'present'." I do my very best to live every day I have to the fullest and to make Jesus the center of it all.

Have a BLESSED day!
