Mohamed I. Elmasry PhD

Born in Cairo on Christmas Eve Dec 24, 1943.

Currently Emeritus Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo, FCAE, FEIC, FIEEE, FRSC, renowned international expert in Artifical Neural Networks (the building blocks of AI) with 50 years research experience.

Published over 500 research papers and 13 books on microchip design. Have 9 patents. One of my students is the co-founder of the iconic Blackberry company here in Waterloo.

Published books on spirituality, history, and a collection of poems and a historical novella.

My books are translated into Arabic and Chinese and another languages.

Member of the International Group on AI Safety.

Did consultation to research and academic institutes in Canada, US, Europe, Japan, Malaysia, and Kuwait.
