I was fortunate enough to spend my professional life in the world's great financial centres—London, New York, and Frankfurt—working in equities. In 2009, I retired to Wiltshire to finally focus on my personal interests: storytelling and writing.

My first novel, Retribution, was a financial thriller set in the 1990s and was published in 1994. Eager to stretch my creativity, I later wrote a comical coming-of-age story set in the 1970s, Travails in Tin Town, under the pen name Artie Fielding. The amazing developments in neuroscience captivated me and became the foundation for my speculative novel, Posse of Good Souls, which was published in March 2025.

I recently returned to my roots with a new City noir thriller, Unleashing the Savage Bull. This was published in November 2025.

My current project has taken me in a completely new direction: historical fiction. I'm researching and drafting The Scorpion's Folly, a thriller based loosely on the real-life story of a Tudor lawyer, moneylender, and merchant—one of the most enigmatic characters I've ever come across.
