Leanne Spencer-Harper

Leanne is the author of the children’s picture book series Milo and the Lark. Originally from Southern California, she is now happily planted in Cornwall. She lives steps from the sea, with her real life giant (he’s very tall) husband, Milo. Together they have two young daughters and a cheeky black labrador. Aside from frigid sea dips, one of her great joys is daydreaming about Giantswood, where Milo the teenage giant and his best friend, Lark, live and have their adventures alongside an endearing gang of forest friends.

Inspired by nature, Leanne writes children’s stories layered with humour and heart. Her work captures timeless themes of friendship, empathy, coming of age, and finding joy in being our authentic selves that resonate with readers of all ages.
