KIM COOK CREATES: Impact. Stories. Community projects. Places. Experiences. Spectacle. Known for her ability to take conceptual work and translate it into results, Kim has established herself as a trusted collaborator and ally with a multitude of artists and organizations.

Kim comes from a place of authenticity - she is a reliable resource who delivers as she says; and always better than expected. Her early background is deeply steeped in participatory activism and cultural community giving her a depth of lived experience that is diverse and multi-disciplinary. These beginnings combined with her commitment to learning and personal growth make her a many faceted and gifted creative professional.

Kim’s professional background includes leading Creative Initiatives for Burning Man, working as a Creative Director for Montreal’s Moment Factory, and founding New Orleans’ LUNA Fête Festival when she served as the CEO for the Arts Council New Orleans. She is also the force behind the creation of a podcast series and curriculum on Cultural Synergy with the United States Institute of Peace. She has a B.A. in Performing Arts, an M.A. in Arts and Consciousness, and a certificate in Circus Dramaturgie from the French and Belgian National Circus Schools. Kim is a 9 time National Endowment for the Arts grant recipient and a Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Fellow.

Her creative work includes theater, circus, dance, festivals, visual art installations, place shaping, digital media, social/virtual reality, NFT production, spoken word, and writing. She successfully builds urban, regional, national, and international projects that are dynamic, and sometimes she does things for the adventure, the learning, the discovery, the fun.
