Mike Matzdorff

Mike is a writer originally from Mid-West USA, (Wisconsin) and currently in California. Activities include wrestling with words and attempting successful parenting. After 30 years spent in dark editing rooms shaping other people’s stories, he decided it was time to write his own.

His first novel, The Universe, is a speculative fiction dive into the strange intersections of life and fate. The upcoming sophomore novel titled, Ben Birch Can Fix Anything, is a warm-hearted revenge thriller based on one of Mike’s, unproduced screenplays. In the distant past he wrote and directed a feature film, Feed the Fish.

Fiction is his obsession, storytelling his vice, and coffee his co-conspirator. When he’s not writing, he’s busy taking care of his people and himself—not necessarily in that order.
