I was born in Sept Iles Quebec as an anglophone child of hard-working Nova Scotian parents. Growing up in the first era of the Separatist movement led by Rene Levesque in the 1970’s, I guess I always questioned partisanship.
I studied Chemistry and Industrial Engineering and had a career spanning over 30 years that has crossed our great Country in the fields of Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Healthcare, Mining, and Government, I guess you could say I am well rounded. I am a Father of an incredible blended Family of 4 adult children, with 5 grandchildren, 2 dogs and a cat. Currently residing in Nova Scotia and happily about to turn 60. One thing that has been a constant, whether in University, my career, my wonderful Family, or just walking through the grocery store, I never back down from an intriguing conversation or debate, in fact it is one of my many character flaws.
This is my first foray into actual writing, and I would like to thank my incredible wife Brenda for pushing me to pursue this long time passion, and patiently listening as I sounded ideas off of her and sought her feedback, without her, you would never be reading this. For that I am truly grateful.
