Nahuel Srnec is a film producer, director, cinematographer, post-production coordinator, and university professor with 15+ years of international teaching experience. He teaches directing, cinematography, post-production, and virtual production, and is an Unreal Authorized Instructor (UAI) and Blackmagic Design Master Trainer. He works in English, Spanish, and Italian.
Nahuel has directed and produced acclaimed films and has served as a cinematographer, VFX artist, and colorist on feature films, TV shows, and commercials. He consulted for Paramount in Buenos Aires on workflow and DIT. He is a full member of the Colorist Society International (CSI), the Argentine Society of Cinematographers (ADF), and the University Film and Video Association (UFVA). He also served as one of Argentina’s voting representatives on the ISO/TC 36 Cinematography standards committee. He is the producer, co-director, and post-production coordinator of the Argentine feature Machine for the Aura (WIFF, BJIFF).
His current research explores the intersection of cinematography and virtual production and the integration of AI into film-school pedagogy—work presented at the 2024 CILECT Congress in Beijing and published as a peer-reviewed article in Frontiers in Communication (2025).
