Eladio Alameda, known to his students as “Coach AL,” is a U.S. Chess Federation Certified Chess Coach with more than 30 years of experience teaching children and adults. He has helped students progress from having no prior chess knowledge to becoming city, state, and national champions.

Coach AL is the creator of The 3-Piece Pawn Game™, an innovative teaching method that introduces chess to beginners in a simple, engaging way, helping players with no prior knowledge quickly learn the fundamentals and begin enjoying the game. His Chess Mini Workbook – Intermediate Level is designed for developing players ready to move beyond the fundamentals and strengthen their tactical skills through puzzles, openings, traps, endgames, and practical challenges.

Through his books, Coach AL brings his progressive approach to chess instruction to players at different stages of learning, helping them build skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding and enjoyment of the game.
