David Hanan Ph.D.

David A. Hanan, Ph.D., currently serves as Minister of Music and leader of the Liberty Church Network at Liberty Church Edmond, though he insists on simply being called David. (He was just plain "David" long before earning his doctorate, and he plans on staying that way!)

Before embracing ministry, David enjoyed a vibrant career in music education, holding degrees from Missouri Western State University (B.S. in Music Education), The University of Missouri-Kansas City (Master of Music in Trumpet Performance), and The University of Oklahoma (Ph.D. in Music Education). His passion for music led him to inspire countless students across high school band programs in Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Later, as Associate Director of Bands at The University of Central Oklahoma, David energized crowds by leading athletic bands, conducting the Symphonic Band, creating innovative courses and degree programs, and mentoring future conductors and music educators.

Eventually, life's unpredictability and divine calling led David to trade his baton for ministry. He now dedicates himself to guiding communities toward deeper faith and unity, blending warmth, humor, and a genuine heart for people into every interaction.

Whether directing musicians or leading congregations, David brings a joyful enthusiasm that makes the journey meaningful and, yes, even fun.
