Simon Chapman

Simon Chapman grew up surrounded by dogs, developing a deep understanding of canine behaviour from an early age. At 17, he joined the military, where he served for 25 years, gaining extensive experience in working with and handling dogs across various disciplines.

After leaving the military, Simon pursued his lifelong passion for dogs, founding K9 Manhunt & ScentWork Scotland in 2017. Over the years, he has trained thousands of dogs in disciplines such as nose work, tracking, mantrailing, and obedience. His expertise extends to handling detection dogs trained for drugs, conservation work, bedbugs, and more. He has also trained dogs in search & rescue and is currently training a cadaver (human remains) detection dog.

Simon now travels across Scotland, delivering workshops on all aspects of dog training, from pet obedience to specialist scent detection. His approach focuses on fulfilling a dog’s natural instincts while educating owners on effective training techniques to build a strong, balanced relationship with their dogs.
