Josef Pilger

After 17 years, Josef recently retired as EY Global Pension and Retirement Leader, returned to Australia and is pursuing a portfolio career. He has over 30 years of governance, strategic, operational and end-to-end pension and retirement policy and ecosystem experience across the key 30 markets globally. He worked in several strategic and operational industry and advisory roles serving governments and leading organisations in the pension, retirement, social insurance, life insurance, asset management, and wealth management ecosystem. Before EY, Josef was a fiduciary, European head of pensions of a European bank, and a member of the executive board of management and chief operating officer of a bank-owned multi-employer master trust pension fund in Europe.
