Anthony Piccone

Anthony Piccone is a storyteller who uses humour, adventure, and heart to inspire children to dream, laugh, and consider the world around them. Inspired by his grandson’s resilience during a difficult time, Anthony began writing stories to bring smiles to kids facing challenges. That spark of hope and humour became the foundation for his book The Sneezy Sliming Snot Monster.

Anthony has been imagining alien adventures and distant worlds since childhood. Influenced by his favourite sci-fi books, movies, and the quirky charm of old B-grade science fiction, he crafts laugh-out-loud tales with themes like teamwork and caring for the planet. His characters reflect his own experiences—Billy’s loneliness mirrors his childhood move from Melbourne to Sydney, while Johnno’s determination reflects his optimistic outlook.

Anthony lives in Murrays Beach, Australia, with his wife and their two mischievous dogs. When he’s not writing, he enjoys quirky trivia, Warner Bros. cartoons (Taz and Foghorn Leghorn are his favourites), and reminiscing about his unusual talent for throwing rocks with perfect aim.
