Dirk De Boeck

Born in Belgium in 1967, Dirk De Boeck has spent more than three decades traveling the world with a notebook in one hand and a fork in the other. From the long, candlelit winters of Sweden to the open-air kitchens of West Africa, and from cooking under the vast Australian skies to discovering rooftop comfort food in Canada, he has eaten widely, cooked enthusiastically, and taken careful notes every step of the way.

In the early 2000s, Dirk owned and managed the largest gastronomy website in Belgium. Today, he is finally opening the vaults of his recipes and discoveries, inviting readers on a true journey through taste.

A former jury member at one of Belgium’s established culinary schools, Dirk now turns his full attention to writing, dedicating himself to sharing a lifetime of authentic culinary experiences and honest, unpretentious recipes with home cooks everywhere.
