Tanya Cooper

Meet our inspiring Author, a former 1980's model and the host of the podcast "On The Town With Tanya," Sundays at 4 PM ET. With over 12 years of experience as the Director of a Not-For-Profit organization, she has dedicated her life to advocating for aged-out foster youth, providing mentorship and scholarships to help them thrive. Additionally, she has spent over 16 years in the field of addiction counseling, empowering clients to "live on life's terms."

An NYU graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Media, Culture, and Communications, she has transformed her personal grief into a mission of learning and healing. After the sudden loss of her younger brother to heart disease at just 41, she embarked on a journey to understand food, heart health, grief, and the importance of purpose in recovery. Having grown up in foster care together, her brother was her closest companion, and his passing deeply impacted her. This experience taught her the importance of mindful grieving and the power of sharing stories with those who have experienced similar losses.

Through her forthcoming book, she aims to guide readers on how to grieve with purpose, honoring the memory of their loved ones while finding strength and healing on the other side. Welcome to her Author's page, where we will explore themes of loss, resilience, and the journey toward healing together.
