Elizabeth Whitmore

Elizabeth Whitmore has written seventeen novels about the past refusing to stay where it belongs.

She grew up in South Louisiana, where the traditions running through her books are part of ordinary life rather than set dressing, and where nobody thought it strange to take a family story seriously. She left a corporate career to write full time. A decision she calls the craziest idea she's ever had, and the best decision she has made.

Her first two series, The Time Sharer and Echoes of the Crescent City, move between New Orleans as it is and New Orleans as it was. Her third, The GUARDIAN Files, stays in the present and follows Morgan Monroe, a Voodoo Witch and paranormal investigator who spends six books being told what she will become and proving otherwise.

What ties them together is not a genre. It is magic that costs something, women who refuse to be rescued, and a bloodline that always has one more secret.

Elizabeth is at work on something older. The same world, thousands of years back, before anyone thought to call them vampires or werewolves.
