As a versatile creative, I strive to integrate my diverse interests into my writing, conveying rich visual textures and exploring novel concepts in medicine and technology. Creativity has always been an integral part of my life in all its manifest forms, from building scenarios to coaching teachers on innovating science for young children. I am the inventor of record on six image-based technology patents designed to support early disease detection.

I am not a one-horse pony (which is an actual line from "The Chladni Progression - The Power to Heal"). Dominant themes in my work include juxtaposing dueling dualities and examining challenging ethical and philosophical issues while delving into the nuances of the Human experience and condition. My writing embodies a narrative Gestalt, where the story, as a whole, transcends the sum of its parts, but where each part can stand on its own. This concept is carried through in the 3D-like figure-ground visual illusion method I developed that combines multiple content-rich images. While seemingly complex, the hyphenation of each image focuses the eye, and mind, on the beauty in the details. Each photographic composition conveys my experiences and encourages viewers to explore their connections to the content - a process I try to mirror in my writing.

The Story Behind the Stories. My writing is deeply influenced by Kabbalistic principles and spiritual discoveries. In Hebrew, I would use the word, baderech, which translates to "on the way." Whether those journeys are framed within a religious context or a spiritual awakening through mindful practices it is about becoming. "Strange Fire" is a profound and personal journey. The title is taken from the book of Leviticus/VaYikra, Parshat Shemini which describes includes the story of Nadav & Abihu, the sons of Aaron who were killed for bringing strange fire (Aish Zara). As children, we learned that Nadav & Abihu were likely drunk; today, the claim would be their had been stoned - it was an easy explanation that belies a different truth. Their "sin" was to be overly zealous in their devekus, their desire to be close to G-d, and they broke with protocol. Their intent was pure; their process flawed. Strange Fire, the novel, is a story about rectifications of the soul and gigulim (reincarnations) that span generations.

My debut novel, "The Chladni Progression: The Power to Heal" is rooted in our growing awareness and appreciation of complementary medical practices and their ascendency from being stepchild to Western science to leading the way in our understanding of bioenergy fields and consciousness. For me, this convergence of the spiritual self and mindful consciousness is rooted in the biblical story of Abraham's Gifts to East (Genesis 25:6), where this profound hidden knowledge has been preserved for centuries, albeit with some elaborations. Within this framework, one day I hope we can see ourselves moving from the "practice" of medicine to the art of healing. "The Chladni Progression" seeks to further that discussion. The art of healing begins with love, as does "The Chladni Progression."
