When I was your age, I loved reading stories about tales of adventure like Mrs Pepperpot, animal stories like The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark and magical journeys like Alice in Wonderland. As a mum, I’ve read hundreds of excellent books to my children and helped others learn to read in school.

My inspiration comes from our past and present cats, who have always been a source of endless entertainment. Otis (Fang) and Zeno (Bang) have inspired the characters I am now writing for you.
