Dawn Marie Aerts

Dawn Marie Aerts, author and illustrator of Space Cat in Paris, inspires young readers through whimsical drawings and poignant stories of historical characters such as Felicette, a 'cat with the right stuff' honored by the French National Space Program for her courage and contributions to space flight advancement. As a features writer, photographer, and columnist for regional newspapers in Minnesota, Georgia, Utah, and New Mexico, she continues to support the arts through community projects. A portion of the proceeds from her writing supports the work of animal shelters and local rescues. She is a member of Womens Fictional Writers Association (WFWA) and the Historical Novel Society (HNS) and continues writing historical-fiction at her home in Bayfield, Wisconsin.
