Darrell B. Marsh was born in Edmonton Alberta in 1955. Growing up in western Canada, boyhood for Darrell was a world of cowboys, soldiers and aviators. A world reflected in his poetry today. Darrell enjoyed a long and diverse working career where he had served his country as a soldier, worked the oilfields of western Canada and in several countries around the world in oil and gas exploration, then moved on to build log homes and run a general contractor business. He also owned and operated a custom gun shop. Darrell earned his Private pilot license in 1982 and to this day remains an active aviator. (albeit being limited to using his high end flight simulator) One constant throughout his varied life was his love and study of the martial arts, today Darrell holds a 7th Dan in Taekwondo and has served his schools in Canada and China as Master instructor. Darrell is now retired living in the city of Chongqing, China where he enjoys travel, his flight sim, playing guitar and writing his poetry. Darrell has produced several books of narrative style poems showing his love for telling story through rhythm and rhyme.
