Christopher James Harris

As a queer, neurodivergent writer, I like to write stories that feature characters and voices not typically found in mainstream fantasy. A Part-time writer and full-time goofball, I currently call Portland, OR, home but have also lived in San Diego, CA, and New Orleans, LA. When not writing, I spend my time working in a laboratory for my full-time job, listening to audiobooks, writing book reviews, enjoying video games, and playing with my daughter. My favorite authors are Brandon Sanderson, Stephen King, John Kennedy Toole, Mark Lawrence, Jen Williams, Natalie Naudus, and Adrian Tchaikovsky. I like my fantasy light-hearted and my horror gruesome, but I want all my books to feel unique.

I would love to eventually replace my day job with writing, but for now, I'm just hoping my writing resonates with one person. In addition to novels, I write some short stories, book reviews, writing advice, and personal anecdotes from my writing/editing/publishing pathway.
