Emily Hampton Morash

Hi there, fellow humans trying to figure it all out!

Welcome to my little corner of the internet where I promise to tell you the truth about leadership, even the uncomfortable parts that make us all squirm a little.

After spending 20 years in nonprofit management (yes, I survived the gauntlet of grant applications, board meetings, and the eternal question "but how do we measure impact?"), I had what you might call a professional awakening. Turns out, my real superpower wasn't writing funding proposals and putting on bitchin' events, it was helping people stop being terrible to each other at work. Who knew?

So I did what any reasonable person would do: I threw caution to the wind, founded Hampton Morash, LLC, and decided to make it my mission to help leaders build teams that don't make people cry in supply closets.

Armed with an unhealthy amount of optimism and enough humor to make even the most serious C-suite executive crack a smile, I dove headfirst into the world of Emotional Intelligence and mindfulness.

Along the way, I collected certifications like they were Pokemon cards: mediator, Emotional Intelligence coach, Everything DiSC facilitator, Five Behaviors facilitator...you name it, I probably have a certificate for it somewhere in my very organized filing system (okay, it's a shoebox, but it's a labeled shoebox).

I also created my signature programs: The Mindful Leader Practice™, The Identity Trap™, and The Communication Compass™. These programs are like GPS for lost leaders, except instead of recalculating your route every five minutes, they actually help you get where you're going.

All of this work culminated in my book, UnFunk Yourself: Leading Mindfully in the Midst of Mayhem, because seriously, we're all just trying to unfunk ourselves, one meeting at a time.

My not-so-secret obsession is creating those magical "aha!" moments when the lightbulb finally flickers on and people realize they don't have to choose between being a good human and being an effective leader. I live for those moments when someone walks away with tools they can actually use; not just another motivational poster to hang next to the dying office plant.
