Rob Smith

Rob Smith is an Irish author, DJ and football writer based in Dublin.

He is the author of Pure Bliss in La Boca, a widely praised exploration of Boca Juniors, and Camp Nou: A Very Brief History on Europe’s Greatest Football Stadium. His work focuses on football as culture, identity and obsession, with a particular emphasis on Argentina and the mythology of the game.

Outside of writing, he has DJ’d internationally in cities including New York, Berlin and Buenos Aires, and was invited to perform at major shows during Fontaines D.C.’s Romance tour, including Finsbury Park in London.

His latest work explores the life and legacy of Diego Maradona beyond his playing career, offering a deeper look at one of football’s most complex and enduring figures.
