It all began when I was in extreme abdominal pain one night that landed me in the ER the next morning. After hours of waiting, and running low on pain meds, the doctors concluded I had appendicitis. They performed surgery to find my appendix had burst and I would be there for a few more days than anticipated. They told me they were sending my appendix for testing as it had an abnormal shape to it, besides being twice the size of a normal appendix.

They said there was a less than 1% chance that it could be a tumor. I thought my odds were pretty good. I was very wrong. At my follow-up appointment from my surgery, I was told I had Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. The unfortunate journey to then follow, led me to a beautiful realization. I am made for more. There is more purpose for me on this earth.
