              Dr. Douglas C. McCall, widely known as “The Identity Dr.”, is a dynamic author, speaker, and educator with nearly 30 years of experience coaching and mentoring young adults through life’s pivotal transitions. As the Director of Choral Activities at West Liberty University, Dr. McCall has combined his passion for music education with his deep commitment to personal growth and identity development.
                   
                      Beyond his work in choral music, Dr. McCall is passionate about helping individuals discover their purpose and navigate key life transitions. His extensive research focuses on music teacher identity, pre-service teacher development, and new teacher induction, which he has presented at conferences across the U.S. and internationally. He is the co-author of Field Guide to Student Teaching in Music, 2nd Edition (Routledge) and most recently published College Compass: A Practical Guide to Growth, Success, and Fulfillment, offering students tools to navigate academic and personal challenges.
