Christian Sheppard

Christian Sheppard holds a PhD in Religion and Literature from the University of Chicago where he taught the“Great Books” for over a decade. He is presently a professor of liberal arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, teaching Shakespeare, the Tarot de Marseilles, and East Asian classics, including the I CHING. Sheppard’s essays on religion, art, music, movies, and sports have appeared in The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Review, Religious Studies Review, and The Journal of Religion. He has lectured at the Modern Language Association, MENSA, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, The Chicago Cultural Center, and the Baseball Hall of Fame. Sheppard lives in Chicago within walking distance of Wrigley Field.
